Was wondering if the have a filter inside the fuel tank? Or do I have an obstruction in the line? Your thoughts please. The injection pump has a "supply pump" bolted on the side of the main hsg. It pulls fuel from the tank and pushes it to the injection pump. IF it not working you will get the problem as described. ALSO check the engine oil level, if the diaphram in the SP has ruptured you will have fuel in the oil. The electric shut-off solenoid[on top of govenor] are natorious for going bad.
You probably going to get some splash oil out of the open hole ,so be prepared.

Air has to go IN the tank as fuel is pulled out. Simple check is remove the fuel fill cap and run the tractor. Bet it runs if that is the case check the line off the back left top of tank. My symtoms are kind of the same. I have a 15' Batwing attached and out mowing.
The PTO is set at rpms. The Kubota diesel engine has such a simple and rugged setup that there are very few parts or functions that are likely to fail.
However, if for some reason your Kubota cannot start, you can take several steps to troubleshoot your engine before sending it to a professional. Start the troubleshooting process by checking the fuse block. Make sure all the fuses have been inserted properly into the main block. If the connections check out, the next step is to see if all the fuses are functional and whether they have the correct amperages.
If your engine does not have a fuse issue, it is time to check the battery. If you have a sealed battery, try to jump start it. If the battery requires water, open the cap, and see if there is water left. If the battery is dry, add water, and try to start the engine. If the engine doesn't turn over, locate the starter, which is near the radiator on the left or right side, depending on the model of your Kubota engine. If the starter does not crank the motor over, gently tap the starter housing with a hammer.
Be extra careful not to damage the starter or any of the surrounding components. If the starter is cranking but you are not getting any signs of life from the engine, you might want to make sure you have the correct fuel in your tractor.
Diesel engines will run on a lot of different fuels, but it is a surprisingly common mistake for someone to put gasoline in the tank instead of diesel fuel. That error can be catastrophic for the motor. If there is gasoline in the tank, you need to drain the tank and flush the fuel system completely and as soon as possible. If you have diesel in the tank, you must check to see if there is any sign that the fuel is reaching the cylinders.
The easiest way to do this is to look for gray, blue or black smoke in your exhaust. Any of these colors indicates that fuel is reaching the diesel combustion chambers. White smoke indicates that the fuel is burning but not combusting. If you have dark smoke but the engine still won't run, try bleeding the fuel system until you have pure diesel fuel flowing out of the bleeder spout. If none of these troubleshooting steps work, your Kubota engine probably needs a compression test.
That test is best left to the Kubota dealer or a local diesel mechanic. If, in fact, there is a compression problem, the engine more than likely will need to be engine totally rebuilt, or, even worse, you will have to drop in a whole new engine. Oil and Fuel levels good. Let sit overnight in the yard. Next day started up, mowed for about one hour more then idled very rough and shut down again. Filled fuel tank from Half to full and let sit overnight again. Next day, same issue. Towed out of the yard to the garage and scheduled on-site service. Repair tech arrived 5 days later and the BX started up perfectly.
Mowed our 2. All OK. Explained how the tractor started and worked for an hour on that second day and the technician said he's aware of a problem with the gas tank on 's. The plastic tank can disintegrate some and pieces of plastic can clog the fuel "hole" into the line. Seeking anyone who might have experienced this because if this is a known issue, I'm going to have Kubota replace my fuel tank for free.

Results 1 to 8 of 8. Today, it lost power and stalled. It was pretty low on fuel. So I refueled with 10 gallons of fresh fuel. Started back up but within 10 seconds was stalling again. I figured I should bleed the lines like I do in my International I opened the bleed port on the Second Fuel Filter, cranked the engine, and waited till I got some spurts of fuel. I tightened the port and retried. But it still wouldn't start.
For reference, here's the way I think the system works Tank to Injectors : 1. Fuel Tank Line to First Filter course. Injection Pump to Injectors. Here's what I did next. I drained the first filter course with a small glass bowl. Had lots of water I think - it was clear, minimal smell, and not too oily, but I didn't taste it!
Put that back together. No start. Next I checked the line from the First Filter back to the tank. Blew air all the way to the tank. Reconnected and still no start.Zombie protein synthesis worksheet answer key
At this point, I couldn't get fuel to fill the First Filter nor could I get any fuel to come out of the Second Filter bleed port. Next, I drained the Second Filter. This had mostly fuel. Put it back together. Still couldn't start nor get fuel to the bleed port. I next checked each hose, blowing back towards the tank. This company is not yet accredited.

I bought a z zero turn at the end of summer and after 8. The dealer came and got it and said it was brush that caused it. Other words it was my fault. So I paid to get it fixed and got it back and within the first 30 minutes the belt came off and the tension spring popped off.
So they came and got it again and that was two months ago. They said they were going to put a updated pulley system on it.Diagram of art diagram base website of art
They still have it. Very unhappy with the Kubota Z Would not buy another product from them. I've owned 2 compact tractors, a svl90 skid steer compact track loadercurrently own a rtv, U35 mini ex and a SVL 95 skid steer.
Everything besides the skid steers have been almost completely trouble free. Fuel emissions where tier 4 interim, excessive heat during regen took all 4 cylinders compression rings out. My machine was down 8 weeks and Kubota's "customer dissatisfaction department in Grapevine Texas informed me that it would probably be down another month! These machines are my bread and butter and when they're down, I'm down. Kubota would not offer me a loaner machine nor would they flip the bill for a rental!
Fast forward to the latest machine. Several emission related issues already. Machine is 23 months old, hours and now it's using a excessive amount of antifreeze! Called Kubota customer satisfaction this week and got nowhere once again!
I am beyond pissed and should have never swayed from Caterpillar products! If this latest machines motor is bad there will be a lawsuit! Get buying tips about Riding Mower delivered to your inbox. The codes are def and scr system related claiming def fluid deteriorated etc. I have drained the def tank, cleanedand replaced fluid. Still does the same thing. I am assuming one of the sensors has some of the flaked up def fluid on it causing the problem but really don't know.
But I hate having to take my machine in and the down time and everything else affiliated with the dealer. Does anyone have any help or feedback on this? There is sooooo much electrical and CPU junk on this new stuff you'd be hard pressed to figure it out without the correct software to diagnose the problem.Click to Post a New Message!
Post: Kubota L seems to not be getting fuel My father has a Kubota L with hrs, and a couple of days ago it just seemed to smother down after about 45 minutes while bush hogging. He is running agricultural fuel. He changed the fuel filter and and tried again today, it only ran for about ' feet then choked down.

Kubota L seems to not be getting fuel Need more info: Color of exhaust when cranking? Does it run hot or overheats? Is the fuel filler cap's vent clear for sure? Kubota L seems to not be getting fuel It smokes black but not much. It is not running hot. I am not sure where the vent is on the gas tank, but I am pretty sure that my father has tried running it with the gas cap loose.
I will double check. Kubota L seems to not be getting fuel My son is a auto mechanic and just stopped by my dads house and sort of checked it out. He thinks it has gas in the diesel fuel. So I am off to get some fresh diesel fuel while he drains the tank. I will post back after we give this a try. Kubota L seems to not be getting fuel Next I'd try compression test.
